I couldn’t get much past the first few para’s Ziv. A mixture of truths, half truths and absolute drivel. IMF has about as much credibility these days as your local gypsy fortune teller.

There's nothing in the text to credit or discredit the IMF's report (or other publications), Freckle, only a compilation of the week's news – and news are, as always, a reflection of a great many things.

I think you might be confusing the format of the article with opinion or analysis, which it was never meant to be – the only opinion expressed there is that caution is advised. For that, I take full responsibility. :)

Note the comment was about the IMF (and their credibility) not you personally. I re read the article (in full) and found it difficult to follow who you were referencing at times.

Sorry Ziv I find this kind of blog a little tedious. There’s literally 1000’s of the things that add little to the discussion or enlighten us further. Just another blogger with news round ups.

That's cool, Freckle, not everybody likes everything. Personally, I've yet to find a single source that provides the full berth of weekly Asian RE news reports in English, let alone online – so far I've been forced to "manually" collate those (you can see a partial list of the sources at the bottom of the article, which should also help understand the references), and thought it'd be nice for others to find such a summary "under one roof". I'll be more than happy to be proven wrong, if you're aware of such a source, lay it on me, please. :)

I think you have a few challenges in making your content interesting and relevant. Language is obviously one. You might want to partner or solicit content from native speakers in various localities who can write an english version for your blog.

I’m not sure if you follow this guy but he writes some interesting stuff re China and Hong Kong although not specifically RE related all the time.

I’ve read some of the stuff you blog and it comes across as a bit dreary – reads more like regurgitated MSM content. I think you have to find some way to put a your own spin on it that peaks one interest. Off the top of my head much of your content is reported in various english blogs msm articles etc.

Another angle is something along the lines of this blog channel

    http://www.macrobusiness.com.au/

They have some very interesting contributors who get under the hood and really get to the bottom of things across a range of economic subjects. You get some contributors along those lines and I think you’ll start to make some serious progress.

    Great links, thanks. :)

Ah, that I would have the time (and enough staff for day to dailys) to produce and maintain something like you're suggesting. It's definitely the right way to go, but I just can't see myself juggling this extra big ball just yet…Maybe next year…

Until then, I think a regurgitated collation of weekly news is the best I'll be able to manage – I'll have to leave the deep analysis and informed opinion pieces to those better equipped for it for the time being. And still, I can't find anywhere that collates it weekly in English – so it's a space I'm happy to fill, at least until someone else does.

(btw, what's an MSM? I'm sure you don't mean "Methylsulfonylmethane")?
