I've never bought land before. Just wondering, would a vacant block usually sell for land value?

I'm looking at 2 blocks at the moment in suburbs next to each other (but in the same school catchment) – 1st is valued at $410K and is selling 'in the 400's) and 2nd is valued at $475K and asking $629K – just greedy or another reason? 1st block is slightly sloping left to right and small, 2nd is flat and a good size. Would you offer what the land is valued at?

    Thanks

Hi jamfc,  It all depends on the location also.  After all the floods in Brisi, check it out if its near the rivers or low lying areas. People will be very cautious when buying in bris at the moment.  However bris will definitely  pick within 24 months. Ask yourself if you can service the loan til you sell the land in the near future
