Hi I have been a commercial property investor for over 30 years and still in the market , living from my rental income. I have written a step by step course that takes you through the path of how to find , evaluate , negotiate , manage and supercharge commercial property. The course is available now and includes a huge manual , dvds , documents and check lists.  Also includes direct phone contact with me for 12 months to help you through any deal.

web site will go live soon, please contact me via facebook if you would like to know more.

    Hi James,

It's not a seminar, but getting a copy of Chris Lang's "How Investing In Commercial Property Really Works" is a good start.

Chris runs seminars from time to time too. His website is:

I found this in another forum:

    Quote:
… I take advice from an old friend who is a commercial property agent. The way that he does business is that he has a group of friends/investors (which includes himself) that set him up with a slush fund of about $100k. He'll look over a bunch of commercial property and…

I do not know anything about how it works but I know that as an investor you have to put 30% in and pay a much higher interest rate (~10%)

If I could track down a group like the one mentioned in the quoted post, I would jump in as soon as I can as my knowledge is very limited. Meanwhile I'm going to Steve McKnight's advice and read this book.

Thanks for asking the question and thanks for everybody else's replies

    Update:

I've tried to buy the book from Chris's website (hard copy or soft copy) and it didn't work

I found it here for 1/3 of the price:

We will be running seminars very shortly as we are involving clients directly in development projects in Australia. I am also buying commercial properties in the United States. Both require a great deal of due diligence. Most people who lose money in this area do so because they do not do research. Remember no matter what anyone says at the end of the day it is your money and there is no excuse for you losing it.

I heard Chris speak at a seminar a few months back, and I was very impressed with the information he was able to impart with the timeslot allocated to him.
