    Hi,
I just am about to settle the NRAS apartment (I bought) in Melbourne city in the next couple of weeks.
I being advised by the lawyer that I should open the electricity a/c.
However, I am based overseas… How do I get it done?
Also, the rental agency seems to be rather slow…have yet to sign any tenancy agreement …etc.
I am rather lost at the moment…So, any advice is much appreciated.

Electricity should be connected and paid by the tenant. If you're concerned about the property not being rented yet, give your agency a call/email to find out what is going on.

    Kaylah, thanks.
I am still trying to understand why my s&p lawyer is asking me to apply for electricity connection. Could it be it is a new premises?
Why is he also connecting water etc in my name?
