    Hi All,

I'm thinking of buying an investement property in Killara (Sydney's north shore). What are you thoughts about the area and potential returns?

    Thanks
    M

    Unit? House?

    CG returns? rental returns?

I know someone that just bought a unit there $1M – rents for $600pw. good for tax deductions I guess.

That's going to need some SERIOUS capital growth to make up for the loss every year.

Not my cup of tea though. I like to make money.

I’m looking at a two bedroom unit, which is new, price $725k. Rental around $690/week.

Good area , not sure about vacancy rates – returns will vary so research what is being leased at present & how that compares.

Is it east-side, close to the station or Killara high etc?
