I’m involved with a Queensland Real Estate office.

REIQ have told us that we are not allowed to employ new sales people on commission only basis (existing sales people with a proven track record of sales who we can demonstrate that they can support themselves are ok on commission only, but it is not legal to employ new people on commission only).

We have been told that there is a loop hole and that agencies can legally put on new commission only sales people.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Loosely worded conjunction agreement preventing the c/o agent advertising under their own name?

the agent needs to be able to show that he can still “live” for a period of time should they have no income. Im pretty sure that is one loop hole
