    Hello there,

I've been reading through the forums for a while now but this is my first post. Yesterday my mum received a call from the bank that they have lost their Title Deeds to their property. Has this ever happened to anyone here & what is the next step. What are my parent's rights, legally? Is she obliged to do anything?
    Appreciate any replies.

The bank will have to reorganize a new one.
    It’s quite expensive around $2-5k

i think you can just get a replacement…..through land office…might be a fee….get the bank to pay any associated fees and blow them up

You (or any surveyor) can conduct a title search for you which shows the title plan, along with the owner of the property and any mortgages it may have etc. Not quite a deed but if you’re needing the information for the property it is significantly cheaper (around $40-$50).

    Kindest Regards,

The bank will have to get a new one – it costs around $2 to $5k.
