    Hi guys,

Only been on this forum for a short while now but have been finding the level of information put out to be fantastic.

I wanted to find out whether anyone had a (good) mortgage broker in Melbourne that they would recommend. Sound knowledge of products for both PPOR as well as IP required (PI as well as IO with offset, 5+yr terms, etc).

If you were willing to provide some contacts that would be most appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi rojerk

It sounds biased and repetitive on my behalf but in this day and age, the broker/client relationship can be easily managed over email/phone – meaning that you’ve got the entire country to choose your broker from. Video calls (love that new ipad) also enable face to face conversations (from a distance).

That said, if you’d prefer face to face, the Vic broker I’d always recommend is Pete Tersteeg from Sage Lending in Nunawading. To quote Richard – “he knows his onions” :)

    Cheers

    Jamie

As has been mentioned this day and age clients just want good old fashioned service and advice from their broker.

Email and phone conversations are totally acceptable and with the majority of lenders wanting applications lodged electroncially distance is neither here not there.

Why not drop Jamie a line and get him to assist you.

Lets face it ACT is only a good 3 wood away from Melbourne.

    Cheers

    Hi guys,

I really do appreciate your input but do have to admit a preference for face to face dealings (I deal with enough video conference calls and remote client management during my day to day job to not be the biggest fan of them when it comes to building positive relationships as well as maximising them). That said if I lived in either the ACT or QLD I would definitely get in touch with both of you based on your quality of input on this board as well as willingness to assist people on here with information. I will look into Pete though – thanks for that.

Does anyone else have a preferred mortgage broker based in Melbourne?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I wouldn’t go past Michelle Coleman. Michelle runs her own practice called Buzz Finance. She is based in Melbourne and you can contact her on [email protected] or 0423 974 543.

I’ve been using Michelle since 2006. She is an active investor, she knows her stuff and goes the extra mile. She’s never not been able to deliver for me.

If you are looking for a broker in Melbourne go for the best. That is Alistair Perry who often comments on the forum. His office number is 0396621999. Not only does Alistair specialize in investment but is also an expert on construction finance.
