Has anyone been affected by the storm in the US  .I have previously been a bit concerned of the weather patterns the southern states where some investors have been buying in do get in recent years .Haven't been game to try investing there.

A bit scary to see an investment get ripped to shreds by a tornado ,that would be davastating not to mention poor teneants
    with nowhere to live .

Are the storms in the southern parts of the US any different to the floods across QLD, NSW & VIC or the terrible bushfires VIC and SA have suffered through? Nature will do what nature will do (Japan) and as much as we may fear these things happening, if we let this fear paralyse us into doing nothing then there won't even be enough homes for tenants to be unable to live in because they simply won't exist because investors won't build them. Mitigate or lower your risk by having appropriate insurance.

    Hi slowachiever,

While the storms in southern U.S. are certainly bad, they have not effected the larger cities in a major way. Despite this, you should always purchase insurance with every property to protect your investment.
