Listings versus sales – where to find it??

Hi folks

I'm keen to be able to locate listings and sales data for a range of areas.  I know that I can get it via detailed reports on specific areas, but am keen to have a look at more than a few places so it would be too expensive to get the reports for all of them.  Can anybody let me know whether this information is readily available, prereably on a month-by-month basis.  Thanks in advance for your help.  Darryl
