Playford Alive

Any Adelaideans or anyone really know anything much about Playford Alive?

This is a redevelopment of a poor part of Adelaide – probably Adelaide’s worst suburb. The plan is that over the next 10-15 years to area would undergo a rejuvenation – increased amenities, shops, schools etc. But atm this area is known for generational welfare, crime etc. However there are some housing bargains there.

So my questions are many:
Anyone know anything of the plans and have any ideas about the impact it will have?
What is your opinion of buying in an area that is like this? Especially when you can find properties that have returns above 8.5%
