    Hi All,

I'm looking for a quantity surveyor in Sydney. I have 3 investment properties and have been given a quote by BMT Quantity Surveyors for $1,950 ($650 each property), which is after a discount. They will only charge me for the reports which will end up saving me money in my tax return.

Does this sound like a reasonable price? Are there better & cheaper quantity surveyors out there? I got BMT's name off the Sky Business Channel, so may not be the best value for money.

    Regards
    F

You get what you pay for. A cheaper QS may give you a depreciation schedule without an inspection but what will they miss?

Washington brown is a well established company. Their service is professional, cheap and are easy to deal with. They charge $590 per valuation however I’m sure they can give you a discount. Try negotiating with them and asking for 1 free as you will be valuing your 3 properties every 6 months.
