    Hi,

Curious question – currently looking around at IP in the Brisbane metro area. Have found one that stands out above the rest so far and has an rental agreement in place until Feb 2011, however the price is undervalued by about $30-50/week.

Once way to help improve the cashflow on the property would be to manage it myself thru to Feb 2011 (thus saving the management fee approx 9%)…however my question is in buying the property am i will i be bound to the existing Rental Manager until Feb 2011?

    Cheers,
    Andrew

No.  You should be able to change the agent or self-manage

Thanks…i cant imagine self managing being too difficult given the tennant is already in place and has been for some time.

Does anyone else have any comments on self manage vs agent?
