Hi Folks,
I've had a meeting with a company called AMMA Private Investment, who were recommended by my accountant for property investment services. They specialise in locating investment properties and building portfolios.
Does anyone have any good/bad/ugly experience of AMMA that they can share?

I was just looking around for AMMA information too! Our Accountant introduced AMMA to us and they were really great, and knew a lot about Property Investing. We have seen Mark Bryers and others who were very knowledgeable and confident about Property Investment. But wanting to know more about AMMA and Mark Bryers too, I did some research. I think you should too.
We are now not so sure about AMMA and probably wont be proceeding with any Property Investment through them.

I see what you mean. A quick Google search does indeed yield a whole lot of information on Mark Bryers who we also saw with our accountant like yourselves, as a consultant for AMMA.
Thanks ever so much for the post – much appreciated. I'm going to follow-up with my accountant with a lot of hard questions as I'm not comfortable using these services going on face-value of what I've now read.

I hope I am not too late – but my advice is stay away, well away from anything to do with AMMA and Mark Bryers. <edited>
If you want confirmation look up Mark Bryers and what a reputation he has in NZ, and how he is now up for community service having been convicted <edited>. Do not let them near your money!!Just wondering BessN, have you had a personel experience with this group?
My accountant recommended AMMA a year and a half ago and we’ve been investing with them ever since! Never had any problems with them, one of the best financial decisions my wife and I made!

We purchased a property through AMMA / Mark Bryers / Columbus on the recommendation of our financial advisor. The purchase has proven over the first 12 months of ownership to be a fair investment and is covering its costs.
The service provided by the combined group of organisations was poor – some major communication failures which resulted in us incurring significant unnecessary losses which we couldn't recover.I understand my financial advisor is no longer using the group. Best to steer clear – there are much better options out there.

AMMA on their own are fine… however there was an individual who has covered his tracks by using their trading name and has scammed many people into dudd properties including myself. Stay away from M.B.
