I have 2 NZ negative geared properties and I have just found out we are able to offset against our Australian income. My tax accountant has no experience in this so I am looking for a reccomended tax accountant in Perth with specific experience in this area. I have spoken to Chan n Naylor accountants over the phone and they say that they can do it, however they are confident we cannot claim any pre existing acumulated. I have reviewed comments on this forum of some people whom have managed to achieve this. Can anyone confirm if this is possible. I have 3yrs of acumulated which is currently NZ$22K and after this FY tax return it will probly be around NZ$30K.
