I apologize if anyone already has put this up. Just wanted to find out how many forumites are headed to the conference in May and what people are looking forward to the most about it, whether that is the presenters or information or anything else.

I'm going, I'm looking forward to three days of craming a heap of knowledge in! Probably will forget my own name by day three!

    Hi DWolfe,
My husband and I are going and hoping to get lots of new info. We are hoping it isn't just the books rehashed and other people peddling their wares. We are from Sydney and have to pay for airfares and accommodation and organise childminding so we will be cranky if it is a waste of time. I would love to hear from someone who has been to one before.

Yeah I was a bit worried but I found some old posts that said that the three days were ok. I know what you mean about child minding! I think my sister in law will hate me later :) I think even if I get one new thing from the three days it will be worth it.

I signed up under a package several months ago which included tickets to this event. It was also meant to include a separate forum for participants which has never eventuated. Really unimpressed about that.

I am also flying in from Sydney. Hoping to find out lots of great tips on building new developments.

Was this the Elite pack coz that's how I got my tickets….? It'll be great to know other forumites are there so we can put stuff on the forum later, questions theories, etc.

I'm really hoping I don't have brain freeze after cramming in so much through 3 days!

Same with us. We got the tickets in the package.Unfortunately just realised it is Mothers Day on Sunday (duh) so I will just have to send hubby. Maybe I can sell the other ticket to help recoup flight cost.

Gee I feel bad living in Melbourne and some are travelling from Sydney. I'm sure it will be worth it. There will be so much info available and I believe you can choose what you want to learn about – dedicated courses to different investing techniques. I too have a spare ticket if anyone needs one.

It would be interesting to meet a few faces from this site.

Aww Sonya, not coming? Boo! Eventually when I am in your state we have to catch up to trade tales! I'll bet you a $10 that you can't record anything or photograph!

OOh, last of the big spenders!!!! I double bet you that you are right!!

have you bought anything new lately??

I have just withdrawn an offer on a property that was very cashflow positive but the builder told me that it needed big bikkies spent on it. Luckily, he told me this without having me go to the expense of paying for a building  inspection. his daughters go to the school that I teach at, so he was a good find! he had carried out a full inspection and report for a previous purchaser,w ho was unable to get finance (or so they say). Still looking, but I also want to update my vehilce. ha reminds me, I ahd better check my lotto numbers !!!!

    !

I can't even shop! Gah! Miscommunication between us and architect means that strata titling on units will take another couple months. Do not want to cross colateralise so have to do my time. At least I wasn't selling, good thing to learn a lesson on this one.

Good on you for running a mile from a dud. (or a renovators delight lol). Melbourne is a %&^# of a market so I am a little nervous of starting an 18 mth project in a rabid market, the couple of months buys more research time.

My numbers are 13, 21, 33, 7, 6, 27 and 30 I will never ever win, I never play! I am ok at roulette though, Crown Casino has bought me dinner a few times

Keep it up Sonya we will win eventually!

Hubby and I will be there.  We live in Tassie so have the kids staying with family and are flying in early Friday morning and home Monday morning.  I’m the one keen on property and my husband the willing supporter – “just tell me where to sign and I’ll keep working until I don’t have to”!  Hopefully hubby will come away understanding more about property and  I am looking forward to gaining lots of new info and ideas.

My view is even if there is a fair bit of hype if we only learn a few things it will be worth it.  There are not any opportunities for this sort of gathering in Tassieand I think we we all be very, very, very tired by the end of it!

Not sure what the program will be but would any forumites like to meet up while there to put faces to names?

Well I spoke to someone when I was confirming my tickets and she said there will be ppl there selling their stuff. So just be ready to tune them out. Already paid enough. Just hoping the there will be something worthwhile to take away from the 3 looooong days.

So I will be totally optimistic about this three days of info. If I can't find one tip or whatever that is worth the $500 I'll be surprised. Come on Wealthy come to Sunny Melbourne (lol) and enjoy the hype. I'll bring my checkbook and we can spend all our money on spruiked up wares and hats that say "world's greatest property investor"!

    Funny Ben!

I think I'll try and pin a picture of my Avatar on me somewhere so people can boo and hiss me when I walk through the crowd heheh!

Seeya all there I think the war stories and tales of the ones that got away will be more than worth the rest of it!

I live in Brissie and will be attending the Mega Conference (like most of the above posts who had to organise child minding I had to organise puppy minding which is costing me $50 plus food a day!) but anyways have never been to Melbourne b4 and just wanted to know how's the weather in May?  Will I need to pack my snuggies, coats and gloves?  This lady from work told me that it can be 4 seasons in one some days…is that true?  Just want to be prepared.
