    Hello,

I am a NZ citizen, living & working full time in Australia as a permanent resident for tax purposes only. I have had 2 investment rental properties in NZ for the past 4yrs, negative geared with a current total accumulation of over $30K total losses/tax credits? I complete a seperate tax return for NZ rental income in NZ (as a non resident for tax purposes) through my NZ accountant. I also complete a seperate tax return for my Australian employment income, through my Australian accountant. Is there anyway I can complete just one tax return in Australia and declare my NZ income on it… so as to benefit from any offset tax/interest credits Through my properties as well.

I have been advised this is not possible by many people including the NZ tax dept.

If this is possible, can anyone recommend a good tax accountant in Perth, WA, with experience in this area whom I can choose to complete my new annual tax return.

Also, this year I have an aus tax bill of $6000.00. Can I use my NZ tax credit to pay for my AUS tax bill?
