Hi Steve, Hope you don’t mind me contacting you. I have read with interest your recommendations and strategies to getting started in the investing market but we have  some hurdles we are finding hard to overcome. I am 60yrs old and my wife is 62, I am a builder now doing pre purchase Timber Pest and Building Inspections – very stressful. We had to sell our home due to a drawn out episode with council trying to get approval for a dual occupancy development approved – approx. 1 year – this was approximately 4 years ago and at the time the market nose dived (on the Central Coast NSW) and I had virtually no work due to the decline. Because of the business losses we can only qualify for a low doc loan of $200k  and this means that most of the $60 k we have in the bank would be eaten by the 20% deposit leaving nothing to due a small renovation to resell immediately. We are presently renting and time  I feel is running out. My income is not great and try as she may my wife cannot find work – possibly due to her age. My building background is not trade based but rather through architectural drawing and supervision. Stress and acute anxiety are my other handy caps but I am determined to at least try and get ourselves out of this predicament with determination, prayers and hopefully your suggestions.I apologize for burdening you with our problem but hope  you may be able to offer some advice on our best avenue to get started immediately on a project to move us forward. We would like to take advantage of your seminars but finances make it difficult. Thank you for your time and your continued email informationYours faithfullyIan and Teri Kitching
