    Hi All,

I need to get an Access Easement Document drafted which will allow Lot 1 access to use Lot 2's driveway to enter a carport.

It's for a typical Battle Axe Block, and I'm just wondering if anyone can give me a ball park figure on what it should cost to get this document drafted (I need it for when I submit my final Survey Plans to the Titles Office).

I've had a couple of quotes which range from $500 up to $3000+ !!

I'm being naive here, but surely it shouldn't cost too much to draft a document that states Lot 1 can use Lot 2's driveway to enter and exit a carport…$3000+ seem's very excessive !!

Any Thoughts / Comments / Actual Experience in this would be appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Cheers,

    Darren

Depends which legal firm you use and the resources they allocate for it. The top end of town wouldn’t lift a pen for less than $5k. Don’t go for big name firms.

    Talk to your surveyor.
