    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had done this 6 week course on property renovations? I am about to embark on a new life journey doing renovations for profit and in the interest of educating myself intend doing this course.

I was just hoping someone had been on it and had and views on how well it worked for them.

    Thanks

Hi Grant, I run meetings in Melbourne for people interested in property investing. I have not undertaken Ana's course but I have had her speak at my meetings. She is incredible. While free on-line courses are great (Phillip I WILL check out your courses)- there is great benefit of having peers to meet with regularly. I undertook a course last year and paid handsomely for it. There is an associated forum. No one seems to do anything after the weekend boot camp. Ana has been fantastic for me- we held a meeting where she was locked out of the venue- i called her and she drove back from Sandringham to Fitzroy and gave a FANTASTIC presentation. The other thing is that you pay but you WILL actually get a renovation out of it that pays you back the course fee and more. I have clients who have used Ana and are very happy with her services. Go for it and make $$ I say. Its horses for courses.
    Good Luck!

    Sorry I am confused …

Are you 2 guys the same people (this happens a lot here)… one asked a question without mentioning a name then princess mentioned "anna" ah sorry who is Anna I am totally confused …

I am doing module 1 & 2 now from Philips site and it is FREE princess … he has over 20 years experience and is giving all his courses away for FREE this year including Wealth4Women run by women for women …

There is one thing I agree with Princess, no one does anything after the boot camp is over …

I am not sure what you should be confused about: Ana Stankovic runs coaching sessions on renovating for profit. I run monthly meetings for women (and men attend?? go figure!) interested in property investing. We meet monthly I am interested in the free wealth4women.  I am about to do something- I am over courses- I aim to get out there and do some more renovating. We currently have a reno on the go in Ballarat. I am about to kick off meetings in Geelong and Wheelers Hill. Yes, you can do courses on line and you can do anything. I have found it useful to meet with people. They must do too as most go on to do something. Boot camps are great- I have just been a bit disappointed in the lack of action following boot camps.

    Hi Grant,

If you are serious about using renovating as a strategy to build wealth through real estate, then I can fully recommend Ana's course.  She works very closely with each client to make sure they achieve win:win outcomes.

Regarding Philip's post about the online course – this may suit you too. It comes down to how you best learn, what you are most comfortable with and how you digest information.  If you are happy to follow modules and have the self-motivation to do this, that course may suit.  Also, find out how many modules specifically cover renovating – you've mentioned that is your area of interest.

What Ana offers is weekly support and she will go over any deals you find with you, to ensure they are on track for what you are looking to achieve.  You'll receive far more "human" time than you would following modules.  Ana's a renovation specialist and that's what she'll cover with you – renovating.

Wealth4Life – Ana runs Winning Formulas for Success, the coaching program asked about by Grant at the start of the thread.  Chrstine Stow (RahRahPrincess) runs get togethers for women in Melbourne.  Totally different people and they are not associated.

I hope this helps.  All the best Greg, no matter what you decide.

Hi Grant, I completed the 6 week course on property renovation with Ana last year and can say it’s really hands on and practical …I'm still enrolled because the learning never stops nearly 12mths later!  This course isn’t just about theory, it’s about the real world application of things you learn and you’re expected to hit the pavement and start inspecting targets during the 6 week course.  Learning the sequence and costs is one thing, however this course also helped me build my confidence and made me realise I can do it.  A recommendation from Ana ultimately lead me to enrol in Holmsglen Tiling Level 1 & 2 so I can understand the process and talk the same language with Tradesmen or possible do the job myself when the time comes.  By the way I’m in IT and office bound so not my usual form of study. If you’re interested, there’s a networking event scheduled 23 March in Nth Melb with Ana. Maybe check it out. Cheers

    Amanda

I think the point W4L was making was, how do you know Grant means Ana's course, from the information he provided in his opening post?

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments and replys. I'm happy to answer any questions that anyone may have. The reason they knew Grant was referring to my coaching is because of the post title – Winning Formulas for Success is the name of my company. BTW, Grant is in the middle of doing the current coaching program so it will be interesting to get him to come back at the end and see what his feedback is.

    Hi Ryan,

I specialise in renovating for profit and my personal area of expertise is in the anlytics side: what adds the most value, most profitable changes to floor plans, what materials to use, how to cost out a renovation upfront, how to calculate how much profit there is in a deal (cash or cash flow) regardless if it is a renovation, subdivision, development or a combination of them, what order to renovate in for most efficiency, where to source the best value materials, how to find and compare deals, etc.

My company runs seminars, runs networking nights for investors, tradesman, suppliers and people that work with property (mortgage brokers, solicitors, accountants, etc), offers 1-on-1 coaching, contributes to publications (Australian Property Investor magazine, Wealth Creator magazine, Handyman magazine, etc), consults out for people that want advice (renovation recommendations based on what is going to add the most value, costings, profitability, floor plan changes, etc) on an hourly basis and sources renovation projects and also another arm of the business does actual renovations.

So depending on whether people want someone to does it all for them or they want to learn it themselves, we try and meet all their needs. Most of the services we only offer in afternoons and evenings though as during the day we actually renovate. At the moment we are doing 5 major renovations at the same time, finishing one, starting two more in the next couple of weeks and also doing a couple of smaller jobs here and there.

I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the process of renovating for profit or about me or my company. Have a look at the website too as it might give you a bit more information with case studies of recent deals and some articles published there.
