    Hello,

As more and more people try to free themselves from the usury and fractional reserve lending based debt system we need to find
ways to allow the entire proletariat to economically self organise.

Perth community exchange is one such effort to allow people a means of trading with each other without being forced to give the juiciest slices of the economy to the parasitic banking sector and with the parasitic bourgeois class as a whole.

Perth community exchange aims to start a grass roots movement to supersede the federal reserve banking system by allowing people to trade directly with each other using community exchange points known as CEX.

Perth exchange is like Local Economy Trading Systems (LETS) but is part of a global system known as CES. http://www.community-exchange.org

When you join the system you have 0 CEX in your account but can potentially go into debit 5000 CEX. The is no hard limit on the amount you can be in credit but for you to be in credit someone else needs to be in debit. When you trade with someone CEX points from the buyer are credited to the sellers account. There is no interest to be paid if your account is in a negative but the magic number is zero. In a healthy system peoples balances should more or less go up and down and return to zero regularly.

So in order to join Perth Exchange you must have an offering. For instance I offer webdesign and computer repairs and other IT services that you may request. Other people offer things like lawn mowing, proof reading, baby sitting and dancing lessons. As more and more people join there will be more and more people to trade with.

In time we hope to create a working food production and oil independence community based on transition towns http://www.transitiontowns.org/ and reviving the community spirit of growing food in backyards that was popular during world war II.

This will be crucial as food prices rise over the next decade due to increasing demand from developing creditor nations coupled with the possible economic day of reckoning of debt ridden developed nations.

To get a better understanding of how community currency works please see the open money videos parts 1 to 10 on the open money ning social networking site.

The website of Perth Community exchange is http://www.perth-exchange.org

Please fill the registration form if you are interested in joining. There is no cash cost to joining or being in the system. Making sure that you don’t run into cash costs when trading with others (e.g. supplies, fuel) is fundamentally your own concern but as the system becomes more and more developed you will eventually be able to trade things like biofuels, spare parts, food and so on through the system.

If you are not located in Perth and would like to join a local economy trading system please look for an exchange in your city on the CES website. http://www.community-exchange.org

If one does not exist you may be interested in starting one yourself just like I have done.

Please let me know if you have any more questions. A lot of stuff is answered on the Perth exchange website and on the FAQ but i’m happy to discuss things with you further.

    best regards,

    Chris
