    Hi Guys

I have a PPOR that I am looking to rent out.

The cash balance in my offset will make the rental income way in excess of the interest repayment.

I'm going to be travelling for the next year and dont anticipate having any significant earnings and would like to maximise my return while away.

Can anyone explain what my options would be to do with the excess cash in my offset account?
          – Does it make sense to draw the cash out and invest it elsewhere?

    Many thanks

    propertybaby,
If you are travelling – what are you going to use for expenses??

If you are not working , depending on what part of the financial year you are away. Then maybe you should do nothing, you can utilize the $6000 tax free part of tax as your investment return from your rental. Just a thought.
