    Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd introduce myself, been veiwing this website for a while, haven't really commented as much as I'd like to. I plan to buy my 1st  IP by the end of the year. Plan to buy a 3bed 1 bath and turn it into 4br 2bath, creating value and turning it into +CF property.

I am also deciding on wether to quit my job and start my own freelance interior design business. I have studied adv diploma of  Interior Design (3yrs) and approx 5 yrs experience in commercial/residential fit out. Just recently returned from the UK, working for a small development co of high residential calibre (3-5 mill in value) using Autocad to draw up plans, cabinetry design details ect (not just picking colours). I plan to set up a website and blog with further pictures and details of past experience. Just recently on a very low budget completed mini makeover for family friend's rental property – amazing what a lick of paint can recharge a house again.

If you have any advice of how to get ou their to find clients? or do you have a project you need extra help/advice with? or a question? Just flick me an email.

    Thanks for reading,
    Melinda

    Ha Melinda,

The Interior Design we now use has just launch a new book and that is working wonders for her.  You can check Karen Devereux out on her website at http://www.kddesign.com.au.

The stock standard things you could do to showcase your work are:
    1.  Get onto Twitter
    2.  Get a Facebook fan page
    3.  Get onto Google
