There are so many conflicting reports on the state of housing in this country that it's hard to figure out what exactly is going on.   In one internet site today there is a headline saying the new housing has dropped by 4% in one state and another that states it has risen dramatically because of the NHOG.

Can anyone direct forum readers to the most accurate and objective reporting organisations?

    Many thanks

There is no one definitive source of information and each commentator has their own opinion on the issue depending upon their angle. One report may say that housing commencements have increased by 10% on the previous quarter but they may still be below long term average or below the same time last year.
