Advice on the following find in Perth, 4km from CBD:

2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, double car port apartment in 3 years old apartment. Looking at similar properties for rent, it can fetch min $400 a week.

    Starting price is $440,000

Say for instance a total sale price of $460,000 which includes extra fees and 6% interest (you can currently fix at mid 5% for 3 or more years).

Interest costs come in at $27,600 a year.

Rental return at $20,800 a year (@$400 a week, but it could be more)

What about depreciation, how much can be claimed back etc?

Another dilemma, excluding a FT, who's name should it go under, my wife who is a stay at home mum, or me, a $150k plus earner?

Anyone, throw ideas and comments at me, please. :)
