The first APN meeting for 2009 will be on Monday evening, 2nd February – further details at http://www.activepropertynetwork.com.au
For those that don't know of this, APN is a group that meets on the 1st Monday of the month (in North Blackburn, Victoria) that was born from a few people getting together in a cafe to meet other investors just after the very 1st propertyinvesting.com RESULTS program commenced in 2005. This has grown to around 60-80 people meeting each month, with guest speakers and regular speakers providing all sorts of great information & inspiration. It is also a great networking event & many friendships & even a few JVs have formed from it
Our regular speakers are
- RESULTS coach Brendan Kelly, who is conducting a 12 month course entitled "Wealth Through Property 101" – our most popular segment
- Neil Gorman from Mortgage Choice brings us vital info about how to get the best from our loans & traps to avoid – highly valuable info every month
- Anthony Ware keeps us abreast of the economic turmoil, and how to make the most of current & future conditions – Anthony makes it far more interesting that it sounds
- Myself (Troy Harris) & Troy Small (Topdog) provide a monthly update of the 3 unit development JV we are doing locally. Follow a development process from start to finish
For guest speakers we have been very fortunate to have had some fantastic names in the past such as Steve McKnight, Dave Bradley, Simon Buckingham, Mark Unwin and the like.
This month we have Jennie Brown flying in to speak to us on the topic of partnering. JVs & MPs can have some disastrous results if not done carefully & professionally, and Jennie will show us how to ensure these can be completed with great success. There will be some more news on that at the meeting on the 2nd. However we NEVER EVER push anything onto you (except maybe to hit the streets, research hard & be successful) so you don't have to worry about this being a big sell or anything
Anyone here coming for the 1st time, please post your intentions below so we can see who are the new people attending, and regulars might like to tell the newbies what they like about the meetings & what they get out of them. I'd really like to know too!
