Advice – Buying land outside Sydney

Hi

We are looking at buying some land outside of Sydney to build a property on. Has anyone done this before? How do you go about finding the right plot of land to buy? Any tips?

Can anyone recommend a broker who can do some of the research for us? We've never used a broker before but thought this might help us make the right decision and not make a big mistake.

Any ideas?
