advice on selling

I have purchsed a new block of land in victoria and need to sell my existing house to pay for this block by April next year. I am not sure whether I should sand sell now or wait until the property market picks up. Does anyone think that the effects of the economic crisis and the introduction of the first home buyers grant will have much impact on prices in the next few months? I really need to sell before the around February next year.
