    Hi,
My conveyncor has charged me $500 for the settlement of a property.
Now the vendors have postponed the settlement as their bank has lost the title.
When I asked my conveyencor to get an exact date for the settlement he doesnt give me a convincing answer.
When I told him to send a notice of recission to the vendor he says that he will charge me an additional $500.
Does it really work like that. I just dont understand the benefit of having a conveyencor then.
Could someone please assist me on this.
    Thanks,

I had to recind a contract last year in QLD and from memory it cost about an additional $350 for them to draft it up. Remeber, anything additional to standard is charged at an hourly rate.

This is a good reason why you should never use a conveyancer. They cannot provide legal advice, but just do the transfer. If some problem comes up they are useless.
