Im looking at buying a fire & smoke damaged house.
Is it hard to get finance for these?
What does it cost to repair? (Ive seen a lot of fire dept reports of $50k damage to random houses). Obviously theres a lot of cleaning, repainting, new carpet & curtains, new windows, possible water damage……then the actual fire damage itself which could involve structural repairs, rewiring……..
As a renovator could I do most of this work myself?
Could there be issues with resale or insurance? would there be an inspection required?
would there be a good profit margin?
