Hi!  I am building our home atm but we won't be able to live in it for a few years and are going to rent it out in the meantime.  It is an 'executive' home with a space for 'our' fridge, d/washer etc… –  should we buy our own fridge that will fit the space from the start and let the renters enjoy it, or wait until we move in?  Is the depreciation worth it  from a tax point of veiw?
    Cheers

    Hi there
I would think you would be better off waiting to put in your own fridge – whilst you can depreciate the white goods – its just one more thing that could go wrong and need to be fixed by you
    thanks
