When did this exemption come out? I did not notice it before! I guess it would be a help for those about to buy a first home that have dependant children.

This is from the web site:
Exemption from stamp duty for first home buyers with dependant children on purchase of property up to a value of $150,000 (with a sliding scale of partial exemptions for properties with a value of more than $150,00 but not more than $200,000).

Does this mean an 100% exemption and can they also receive the 3k bonus if purchasing in Victoria? Don’t think any other states have the bonus…

I got the SD exemption along with the FHOG when it came out in July 1 2000, so it has been around at least that long.
