    Hi,

I just wanted to make sure that my comments about property investing on the forum or elsewhere does not require me to have a finanal advisor licence right? Is it that a licence is only required when giving advice about specific financial products. That is my current understanding from Chapter 7 Division 3 of the Corporations Act and the ASIC website.

So would the type of property or suburb
    Property strategies
    Taxation strategies
    Advice about the conveyancing process
    Making suggestions between two properties
be advice that requires a licence?

It seems that those property gurus, business coaches, and shares hot tippers don't have a financial advisor licence.

Just wanted to make sure here.

    Thanks

As this forum is essentially anonomous and full disclosure of financials is not given, then I thought it was all only opinions offered rather than advice. I would be interested to hear if it is considered to be different.
