Hey people, can anyone tell me the rate at which items are depreciated? I know what can be depreciated for plant items, but I would like to know the rate? Eg $4500 spent on aircon, $2500 on new carpet, 3000 on painting?
I am doing a reno and want to know if spending the majority of the $$ on depreciable items will turn the IP into a pos cashy?

    Cheers

You should get the depreciation booklet from the ATO – it should be available for download.
