    Hi,

I just read the Statement of Adjustments of my settlement last month. It came to one point that it said Brand Partners $1,216.62 under one of the cheques issued for the settlement.

I assume Brand Partners is the Vendor Lawyer/ Solicitor. Is that mean I as the purchaser pay them? Is this normal?

    Cheers,

    blaze

    Hi there
    yes it is normal
if you look at your adjustments there is a total payable to the vendor/their bank
they then nominate how they want cheques to be drawn
they will often state the vendor/bank, the vendors solicitor and if there are rates, the council etc
the figures should all balance – and if not speak to your solicitor
    thanks

Oh now i get it. thx rad. i was just panicking "omg they put a trick on a newbie" ^_^

basically instead of making a cheque to the vendor for $41.2K then later vendor pays the her solicitor for $1.2K. it goes directly from me $1.2K to solicitor and $40K to vendor.

well still they trick me $10 for extra bank cheque but its ok. :)
