Do I have to sign the quotation forms to hire the companies to do the work?
If I sign and the value of the work changes to be less than the quote – will that mean I still pay the quoted amount?I have been obtaining quotes for a fair bit of work on my house Roof, valued at around $10 – $12K. I have settled on a 2 companies to each do a portion of the work Both of the companies have told me I must sign and date their Quotation forms before work will commence. Do I have to sign? Also as they review the work to be performed, some changes will occur where the original quote may not apply – ie the value may be lower..
Hoping someone can assist me with the technicality of the legals involved. Many thanks in anticipation.
