Hi, I'm new to this forum.

I am going to buy a 3BRs townhouse off the plan at about $500k in a Melb outer suburb. Could someone give me a rough idea the annual depreciation (excluding building allowance) I can claim in the first 5 years? I understand I need to get a quantity surveyor to do a full schedule. But to budget for my cashflow, I wanted to have a ballpark figure.

    Many thanks.

    hi sciomako,
I think you should get around $12k depreciation for the first couple of years and it will drop down to around $10k by 5th year..
