We recently purchased an off-plan 2 bedroom unit in Sydney that will be ready for settlement in mid 2009. Our solicitor has quoted $6000 for the conveyancing (starting with processing the purchase contract & deposit , review of all subsequent documentation as development progresses and final settlement). Are we being ripped off? Can anyone suggest a good conveyancing solicitor/agent around Ryde/Parramatta? All comments greatly appreciated
WHAT??? You sure are getting ripped off. My solicitor charges $880 inclusive of GST. That was back in March. Not sure how much she charges now. She's in burwood though. If you want I can give you her details.
