I understand age limits for building depreciation, however i'm confused about fixtures and fittings.  Can you claim depreciation on fixtures and fittings for a property were you cannot claim the building depreciation?

Eg.  If i purchase a property built in 1984, can i still claim depreciation on fixtures and fittings, by getting a depreciation schedule done by a quantity surveyor?

    Thanks

    Dale
