Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any recent experience in buying 2 bedroom houses as IP's. (not units/villas) There seems to be a glut of them at present in my local area. I'm aware some seasoned authors/investors dont encourage them as not being 'within the norm'. Thanks
My IP is a two bedder. I think it comes down to the area.
My town has a large housing estate full of 4 bed two bath double garage houses. Nothing real unique there. I decided to buy in central town away from the big housing estate and the property is a more up market renovated house.I was aiming at the single or buisness couple. It worked as it was picked up in one day by a single buisness man for more rent than the more expensive 4 bedders in the estates.
I guess you want something that is unique. If the twenty or so houses near you are exactly the same then that might drive your rent down.
