    Hi Guys:

Real Estate agents telling me that new mines are opening up in Tasmania's west coast and that will increase the demand for rental properties in the towns around the west cost and north west. Is this true that new mines are opening in the est coast? Where can I get factual information?

    Regards
    Sharif

Are you talking about the pulp mills? (Which I am very much against environment wise but see the benefit for investors)

You could also try the company's website (this may tell you how many new jobs they expect to create). Check out the local council there as well.

Bear in mind though that other services are being pulled out of the west coast as they are not sustainable due to the population base, eg health services are being scaled back.
