    Does everyone know about this.

read this article, I found out about it today.

    http://www.news.com.au/business/story/0,23636,21899896-462,00.html

    Is it coming in.

They say it is a vote getter for the elections.
It will help in deposit building(i need all the help i can get) but does not solve the major affordability crisis with high repayments(only puts a bandaid on).

    Any replies/comments guys?

    Chris.

I have a few thoughts on this.Although it may help some people who are ready and should buy. It may also allow people to purchase a property when maybe they really shouldnt. And this may also push the prices up a bit again. If the difference between buying a property and not affording one is the doubling of the FHOG then i would be carefull.
