    Hi All,

    Kind of new to the investment scene, so just a quick intro question I was wondering about:

    In regards to rates for the local council of the area you are looking to purchase an IP in, how do you find the rates etc? What rates exactly should I be looking for? Not having owned a house before, are rates different for each house? If so, where can I find an average or get some kind of indication?

    I am NSW based and am looking for a local NSW council rates. I have checked their website but you can only pay your rates on the site.

    HI there
    without doing an actual property search – if you are interested in a particular area – why not ring the local council and get them to let you know the average rates for the area – they may also have some financial information on websites which you can review
