I am in a situation wherein have decided (for family reasons) to go in for a bigger house and have come to the point where i would have to sell or knock down my block in Beverly Hills. I have noticed that there are some blocks being sold around the St George area such as oatley, hurstville, hurstville grove, penshurst which are mostly Battle Axe stlyle blocks for around the same price for what would cost me to sell my place and purchase these blocks.
Would anyone out there know the pitfalls of building on a battle axe block ? My house was just renovated 2 years ago and hate to think of knocking it down …. any advise is appreciated.
My current place is very close to public transport (trains, etc) and wonder down the line if such locations would automatically get zoned for apartments..
Can't you just extend to provide more space?
