Fence on the railway how much do they pay?
I would be looking in Brisbane. I found a house but as most QLDers they have a crappy wire fence. I would be looking to reduce noice by constructing a block wall fence, probably render it too. How much would i be able to get from the rail way?
Would they say nothing, as there was already a good fence there? Would they say we only pay half what a wire fence costs (nowhere near what a block wall costs.)

Also what is the most effective material to use to maximise a reduction in noice? bricks, block, iron, wood??

    Hi,

Not sure how much it will cost, but there is a product out there by CSR Hebel that is great for building walls for acoustic insulation. I understand it is similar in price to masonry and render by the time it is installed, but the acoustic insulating properties are much better. It comes in panelling so should be much quicker to install.
