Wondering if anyone can shed some light or share experience with property that is slightly above flood levels. This property has potential for value adding. Plan is to value add, turn over asap. However the flood levels set by council only put the house 0.34m above this level. Any advise or previous experience would be greatly appreciated.

340mm is ok if you’ve got a room around the house for the water to run away to the street or easement or a neighbors yard? Of course it wont be ok if its gonna pool around your front or backdoors and enter into your home. Alternatively you could always lift your house at some expense but if you were to do that you would probably want to lift it high enough to put another floor level in and then some..(like another 300mm) then it would be no problem.
