If someone applies for a home loan with a guarantor who has already had the FHOG, can the applicant still get the FHOG and no stamp duty?

    Hi Brizza

Yes the Guarantee does not effect the Title on the loan so the rebate on the SD and the FHOG are both available even if the Guarantor has purchased many times before.

    Cheers

Even if the guarantor is your spouse?

If your spouse has had the FHOG or owned a home before or owned any IPs prior to July 2000 then you do not get the FHOG regardless of guarantor.
