    hi all
just a quick simple question regarding land tax in NSW: on the government’s official website it says if the property is your PPOR then generally speaking you are exempted from paying land tax. if this is the case, how come i keep hearing quite a few of my friends complaining “ahhh it’s time to pay land tax again…”? Their properties are all their PPORs…

    am i missing anything here?
    any help appreciated,
    ao

Land tax applies to PPOR if it is over a certain value. a luxury property tax. Maybe you have some rich friends?
