I am currently looking at a block of 12 appartments.

    1. Can somebody please tell me if they can be subdivided into community or strata titles and what obstacles/pitfalls I may encounter.

    2. I am situated in South Australia and was thinking of contacting HomeStart (a government organisation helping people to get their first house) to support the project, as it would allow 1st home buyers access to comparable cheap properties. Any thoughts?

    3. This deal would already be cashflow neutral to positive before any of the above, but the whole deal is probably too big for me. How do I best go about this (eg bird dogging)?

Sometimes it can be costly to bring the standards up for strata titling. – eg meeting requirements for fire exits etc.
