    Hi all,

After a long absence from the site I have finally returned, now I am settled after moving interstate.

I have just moved back to Tassie after being on the mainland for the last 15yrs and looking to meet like minded investors in the Hobart area for social get togethers etc.

If anyone is interested in doing this, let me know. [thumbsup2]

    Hi mk2r,

We are in Hobart as well and are keen to catch up with other investors.
I know of a couple of others, both on this forum and another property investing forum so I will put the feelers out and see if they are interested as well.

    Regards,
    Pete

    Hi All,

I posted the topic on the Somersoft forum last night and have had 2 positive responses so far so it all looks promising.

Any ideas on a venue? Maybe a pub or restaurant with a private room or area. Any other suggestions?

    Regards,

    Pete

    Hi everyone

depending on the format I would also be interested in networking with fellow Hobart property investors.

    Cheers

    Hi All,

Haven’t thought of a venue as yet. Just wanted to find out first, if there was any interest, which of course there is.

Some where nice goes without saying. Some suggestions would be great. Maybe the Quarry at Salamanca or IXL Henry Jones hotel (The long bar) or if you know of any pubs with good counter meals.

    Cheers. [smiling]

    Hi everyone,

It looks like a Tassie property investors get together might finally be on.

I have been in contact with some other Tassie investors on another property investing website and one of them has indicated that his mortgage broker Rolf Schaefer was interested in flying over from Melbourne as a guest speaker.

I've looked at a few venues and the best seems to be the German Club in Bowden St, Glenorchy. Jackie's Aunt is on the committee there and said the dining room isn't used on a Saturday afternoon and they can put on afternoon tea (coffee & cake) for $5 per head. Rolf Shaefer has generously offered to pay. The bar is also open if anyone wants anything else.

The date will be Saturday 5th May. I know we are not going to be able to suit everyone, However this works for Rolf.

Let me know if you can make it.

     Cheers,

    Pete

I'd be interested in coming to these meetings. This year my available cash is paying down consumer debt, rather than investing as such, but it would be good to hear from others about things such as good accountants, and brokers etc who would fit in with Steve's methods of wealth building.
